IMAGO MUNDI - A PICTURE OF THE WORLD, THE WORLD IN A PICTURE

 

The Imago Mundi Foundation was established in 2005 by documentary photographers living and working in Krakow. Its aim is the popularisation of works of visual arts, especially photography. For that purpose the foundation is using non-conventional exhibition methods and new media.

 

Imago Mundi does not run commercial activity, all means are gathered by way of donations and assigned for statutory activity: support in creative activity and promotion of photographic output of the authors of the whole world; dissemination of photography and other works of art, including audiovisual art as a universal medium enabling free communication above the borders.

 

The Foundation accomplishes its statutory aims by:
- organizing seminars, symposiums, workshops and trainings as.
well as other forms of cultural and educational activities and popularization and exchange of experience.
- carrying out exhibitions, publishing, educational and promotion activity within culture.
- collaboration with artistic institutions, publishers and spreading culture.
- cooperation with state and self-government authorities, institutions, political, social and non-government organizations for the benefit of popularization of culture.
